Since it's National Day tomorrow, I'm dreaming up red and white foods all this week.
I'm not really all that patriotic but there's so many yummy ingredients that come in those colours. Plus, my favourite colour is red, so that's an excuse right there.
Let's start with the veg... there's red bell peppers and tomatoes, so a grilled red pepper and sundried tomato pasta will be the first on the list.
Then there's cheese... and who doesn't love a mozzarella and cherry tomato salad?
Then there's red meat and wine, so I'm thinking a boeuf bourguignon with mashed potatoes will be next.
And the ooohh will obviously be desserts. Lots and lots of desserts.
White chocolate and cherry cupcakes.
Red rubies in coconut milk.
Raspberry macarons with a buttercream filling.
Cream scones with homemade raspberry preserves and freshly made whipped cream.
Definitely red, white and ooohhh.
